We recently went to North Devon for my birthday weekend away. We traveled around 4 hours and 30 minute to our home for the weekend, the cutest little stay cation - The Cosy Cowshed.
Set in Hartland, not far from the coast and no light polution at night time, we truly were spoilt by our surroundings and the cosy vibe it gave both indoors and outdoors.
Our host, Jay thought of everything, and could not be happier with our stay.
We were greeted with cake, prosecco and soft jazz playing on the tv. Treats were left out for Luna and she even had a ball to play with (which she loved!).
The cake had an owl on top, for their branding - Sleepy Owl.
Honestly i think it may have been the best Victorian sponge cake i have ever had.
The open plan living space all had a log burner, which we used each night, cosying up while drinking prosecco, eating cake and then making our way into the hot tub... but more of that later.
The bedrooms were lovely and had everything we needed and more, including cosy robes, slippers and even hot water bottles! They have really put a lot of thought into those finer details and it shows.
The bathroom also ticked all boxes, with a lovely bath and large shower head with amazing water pressure!
The place itself had a lot of character,
And i think my favorite part was the rustic hot tub, complete with a wood burner, with enough room for two! Every night I sat in the tub, soaking in the hot water, with the cold night breeze on my face while i listening to the owls, or the silence (it was wonderfully quite here!)
The doggy spa was also a big hit! What a wonderful touch and easy way to have a wash down after our very muddy walks.
Sleepy owl also had two other available places to stay, both tree houses. I have already said to Dan we need to head back in summer to experience one of them, because I just know they will be just as wonderful.
Thankyou for reading!
Cassie
